Beneteau Named Bulldogs Captain

The Bulldogs are proud to announce that Nicholas Beneteau has been named the 21st Captain in Alberni Valley history.

The 20 year old Beneteau is set to embark on his 3rd and final season in a Bulldogs uniform and is coming off a career year where he posted 20 goals and 36 assists for 56 points in 53 games during the 22-23 season.  Beneteau would go on to add 16 points in 19 playoffs games as the Bulldogs advanced to their 1st Fred Page Cup appearance in club history.

The strong season also earned Beneteau a commitment from St. Lawrence University for next season.

The 23-24 season opener in Coquitlam will officially be Beneteau’s 100th BCHL game.

For his part, Beneteau is honoured to captain the Bulldogs. “I’d like to thank the entire organization for giving me this opportunity, I’m looking forward to continuing to build our winning culture and building on the past couple of years I’ve been here.” said Beneteau.

“This is his 3rd full season with us now, he know’s the intricacies of our staff, city, billets, you name it, Nick will handle the situation with confidence. I’m looking forward to this year’s team and how Nick can bring them together.” said Head coach and general manager Joe Martin.

The balance of the 23-24 leadership will be announced in advance of the regular season.

Beneteau and the Bulldogs will host their home opener at the Dawg Pound on September 30th as they host the Nanaimo Clippers.  Tickets are on sale by CLICKING HERE.
