The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of 2005 born Forward Ben Buckley.
The Warwick, Rhode Island native is 5’11 and weighs 170 pounds. He appeared in 61 games over the past two seasons with the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Calgary Canucks and Drayton Valley Thunder, scoring 7 times while adding 15 assists for 22 points. He played 5 games in the 2024 Centennial Cup, the National Junior A Championship tournament.
He is the brother of former Bulldog Ryan Buckley, and is committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey with Dartmouth College.
On the addition of Buckley, Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin commented: “We’re excited to have Ben join our team. He will add experience to our roster, and he’s a responsible two-way hockey player. He knows a few of our players already and with his older brother playing here last year he understands what its like to play for the Bulldogs.”
On joining the Bulldogs, Buckley commented “I’m thrilled to be joining the Bulldogs for the remainder of the season. My older brother played with the Bulldogs last season, and has said nothing but great things about the organization and the town, I’m extremely excited to get to work in Hockey Valley”
