Bulldogs and Grizzlies Renew Rivalry

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs host the Victoria Grizzlies in a game that both clubs might feel is a must win affair.

The Bulldogs and Grizzlies have both spent significant time in the upper levels of the Coastal Conference, however both teams enter tonight’s action with losing records in their past 10 games, a stretch that has cost both of them ground in the standings.

The Bulldogs enter the game in 5th place with a record of 12-8-3-0, while the Grizzlies have dropped 3 straight and possess a record of 12-13-0-0.  This is already the 5th match-up of the year between two clubs with the Bulldogs owning an edge in the season series with a record of 2-1-1-0 head to head.

After a 5-2 loss to the Clippers on Sunday night, the Bulldogs will look to rebound and get back into the win column and get the week off to a good start.  The final week of play before the Christmas break is a busy one for the Bulldogs who will hit the road on Friday for a game in Surrey and a stop Saturday in Chilliwack against the Chiefs.

Home cooking has been good for the Bulldogs who are 7-1-2-0 at the Dawg Pound, however the road hasn’t been as kind with a record of 5-7-1-0. The Grizzlies meanwhile are 5-8-0-0 away from the Q Centre.

Tonight’s game is set for 7:00 pm
