Bulldogs Defeat Grizzles Again in Exhibition Match

After winning 6-1 on Sunday night, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs were looking to keep up that momentum against the Victoria Grizzlies once again. And on Monday night, the Bulldogs would continue to pour on the offence as they would defeat the Grizzlies 4-1.

In the first period, the scoring was kept to a minimum, but the Bulldogs would be the first to answer from a goal by Adam Jeffery just over a minute into the game. Shots on goal were 20-11 in favour of the Bulldogs.

The second period would also see just a single goal, but it would come from the Grizzlies as Eli Barnett would tie the game 1-1 just 91 seconds into the middle frame. But the Bulldogs would continue to put on the pressure as they outshot the Grizzlies 9-6 in the period. Giving the Bulldogs a 29-17 lead in that category.

In the third period, the Bulldogs would explode as they scored three unanswered goals. The goal scorers were Diego Buttazzoni, Cole Melady and Adam Jeffery once again for a final score of 4-1. The Bulldogs would also outshoot the Grizzlies 17-5 in the final frame and the final total was 46-22 for the Bulldogs. Neither team would also score on the powerplay. The Bulldogs were 0-5 and the Grizzlies would go 0-2.

The next Bulldogs game will be on Friday, September 24th at 7:00 PM as they pay a visit to the Nanaimo Clippers at Frank Crane Arena.
