The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to announce that Fischer O’Brien, Braden Blace & Lucas Buzziol have been named Alternate Captains in advance of the 23-24 season. The trio joins Nicholas Beneteau who was named team captain last week.
O’Brien and Buzziol are both newcomers to the Bulldogs roster this season, and both players made it apparent to the Bulldogs brass that they’ve meant business since arriving in hockey valley. Blace, now in his 3rd season with the Bulldogs along with Beneteau add a veteran “Bulldog” presence to the leadership group. 3 of the 4 players wearing a letter are in their 20 year old season, while Buzziol is 19.
O’Brien spent the previous 3 years with his hometown’s Prince George Cougars of the WHL, while Buzziol spent the past two seasons with the OJHL’s Milton Menace.
The Bulldogs and their newly minted leadership group open the 23-24 season in Coquitlam on Friday and Langley on Saturday. The Bulldogs will return home for their home-opener on Saturday September 30th when they host the Nanaimo Clippers. Tickets are available by CLICKING HERE
