Bulldogs & San Group Team Up for Free Youth Tickets

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL and the Port Alberni Bombers of the VIJHL are proud to announce the creation of a major community initiative with San Group.

San Group strongly believes that by investing in our local youth and the grass roots efforts of the Alberni Valley we all win.  As our community emerges from the pandemic, this joint effort of the Bulldogs, Bombers and San Group jumpstarts what our community needs. The welcome return of sports, entertainment and safe social gathering after the devastating effects of Covid-19 is definitely cause for celebration. The Bulldogs, Bombers and San Group have formed a very exciting commitment to bring our community out of the pandemic penalty box and breakaway. For the next three seasons, starting with this season, admission for all youth 18 & under will be no-charge when accompanied by an adult for all Bulldogs and Bombers home games courtesy of San Group.  This initiative includes all pre-season, regular season and playoff home games at the Multiplex.

Bulldogs & Bombers president David Michaud says the organization is thrilled to partner with San Group on this community initiative.  “Since taking the helm here in Port Alberni I’ve made it my mission to find a partner for this program.  I’ve seen first-hand during my time with the Penticton Vees the impact a program of this nature can have on not only the team, but the community as a whole. I’m very grateful that Kamal Sanghera and Suki Sanghera shared my vision on the type of impact this program will have for Port Alberni.  Junior hockey in Port Alberni has never been more affordable and family friendly.”

San Group CEO Kamal Sanghera said “The lumber industry has always played a role of support for youth and sports leagues in the Alberni Valley and San Group is proud to continue this honored tradition”

The Bulldogs also announced Monday that Adult season memberships for the 2021-2022 season would be offered at $299.00 plus gst. Any current Bulldogs season member can add a Bombers membership for just $99.00. Individual Bombers season membership can be purchased for $149 for their inaugural season.  Tickets are available in-person at the Bulldogs office beginning Tuesday August 3rd.  Fans can also purchase tickets online by visiting www.albernivalleybulldogs.ca or www.portalbernibombers.ca and clicking the ticket link.

The Jr. B Bombers begin their 1st VIJHL season on September 8th, while the Bulldogs kick of the BCHL’s 60thAnniversary season a month later on October 8th
