Bulldogs suffer loss to Kings

It was an early morning for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs as they headed to Powell River where it ended with a Kings 4-1 win.

The Powell River Kings would be the only team to get on the board in the first period by Kyle Kawamura assisted by Jonny Evans and Gavin Rauser on the powerplay.

Shortly into the second period the Kinds would extend their lead by Ben Berard but Bulldogs’ #4 Mitchell Oliver would get them on the board to head into the dressing room down by one goal.

It was a rather quiet third period besides a powerplay goal and an empty netter for the Kings which would end the game and give the Kings the 4-1 victory.

Three of the four Kings’ goals were on the powerplay, while the lone Bulldogs goal was also scored on the powerplay.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs head back to Port Alberni tonight to prepare for an afternoon game tomorrow against the Langley Rivermen at the Multiplex. Puck drop is at 2:00PM
