Capitals and Bulldogs Clash in Coastal Quarterfinals

There are still things to be decided in the Coastal Conference, however none of it will affect the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs who wrapped up the Coastal Conference pennant last weekend know they will be the #1 seed in the BCHL playoffs for the Coastal Conference which means they will hold home ice advantage through the Coastal Conference Championship Series.

The Bulldogs staff and management know better than to get too far ahead of themselves however.  The first task at hand will be disposing of the Cowichan Valley Capitals in the opening round.

We will offer a more in-depth preview as the series gets closer, however the Bulldogs know that the Capitals won’t be a push over and with essentially nothing to lose facing the top ranked Bulldogs, it could be recipe for disaster if the Bulldogs aren’t careful.

The Bulldogs (35-15-3-1) finished 38 points ahead of the Capitals (15-33-5-1) in the regular season, and went 7-2-0-0 against the Caps head to head.

None of that matters now as both clubs are back to 0-0 as the puck drops on the new season.

As noted, the Bulldog will host game 1 of a playoff series for the 1st time since 2009-2010 and the Dawg Pound should be rocking! Here is the full schedule for the Best of 7 series.
