Clippers host Bulldogs in Game One

February 28th, 2020
PORT ALBERNI, B.C- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs and the Nanaimo Clippers get their best of 7 Island Division Semi-Final underway tonight at the Frank Crane Arena.
Jackson Glassford will make his return to the Bulldogs crease after a lengthy layoff. The Bulldogs are counting on him to regain the form that led to his selection by NHL Central Scouting to the 2020 Draft list.
The Clippers made life difficult for the shorthanded Bulldogs down the stretch. The Bulldogs have got some good news on that front with the return of Matthew Grouchy, Mitch Deelstra, Jackson Munro, and of course Glassford. That’s a pile of experience added back to the roster that the Bulldogs hope can level the playing field against a Clippers team that roared back to win the Island Division on the last day of the season. For the first time in weeks, the Bulldogs enter the game without an AP or Emergency Backup in the line-up.
There is a fan bus headed to Nanaimo at 5:00 pm today and tomorrow. About a dozen seats remain for today, and more for tomorrow. The cost is just $30 and it includes your game ticket. Hope on the fan bus, sit back and relax and cheer the boys on! Jane is in the office until 4:30 and Dewayne will be there to help any last minute fans who want to jump on board!
Playoff tickets for games 3 & 4 are also on sale now. Game 3 goes Tuesday and Game 4 is set for Thursday. Tickets $16.00 for adults and $10.00 for Youth (18 & Under)
