Close Game but Grizzlies sneak away with the ‘W’

It was a tight game in Alberni Valley’s final Home Exhibition Game against the Victoria Grizzlies however the Grizzlies would pull away with the win, 5-4.

It the first period it was all Bulldogs on the shots clock out-shooting the Grizzlies 11-3 however the score did not resemble that as the Bulldogs after the first only led 1-0, goal scored with only 16.9 second to go by Julian Benner.

In the second frame the Bulldogs would score right away by Ryan Steele, but it was retaliated with two unanswered goals first by Ryan Nolan followed by their second goal to tie things up Alex Newhook. End of the second period it was all tied up 2-2.

The final 20 minutes was a scoring flurry where Bulldogs would add two more but it wasn’t enough as the Grizzlies added three goals. Bulldogs’ goal scorers were Bradley Ong and Ryan Steele which was his second of the night while Grizzlies’ goal scorers were Ethan Nother, Carter Berger and T.J Friedmann to take the game 5-4.

The Bulldogs are heading down to Sooke on Sunday for a 2:00PM game against the Victoria Grizzles which will finish their Exhibition Schedule.
