Doucet impressed during his rookie year, ready to come back better.

If we didn’t tell you it was Jackson Doucet’s rookie year last season many wouldn’t have known as he impressed many with his play. In 57 games last season Doucet earned himself 35 points, 13 goals and 22 assists while contributing as a team player on and off the ice.

Doucet, who notably mentioned how physical the BCHL is, made it his big goal in the off season “It was a big off season for me, I wanted to come into this year a lot stronger and I feel like I have.” Doucet also went onto say “I want to become a better leader, to help our younger players coming into the team. Showcasing how hard you have to work every day to be successful in this league.”

Doucet’s energy and hardworking attitude was the key to his success last season according to Head Coach Matt Hughes and he expects him to be a bigger threat to other teams this season.
The roster for the Bulldogs has now been trimmed down to 30 players who are all vying for a spot on the 23 man roster. The Bulldogs visit the Cowichan Valley Capitals tomorrow night at the Big Stick in Duncan.
