Ethan Bono Joins Bulldogs

After a strong performance at the Summer ID Camp this past weekend, the Bulldogs have added a key piece to their future with the addition of 2004 born forward Ethan Bono from Port McNeill BC.

The 16 year old Bono is a 6’2” 185 pound forward who spent the previous two seasons with Victoria’s Pacific Coast Hockey Academy.  Last season, Ethan set a U16 Prep school record with 33 goals and 26 assists for 59 points in 36 games played.

Despite being just 16 years old, head coach and general manager Joe Martin feels Ethan can not only step into the line-up but contribute. “Ethan is a player we’re very excited to add to our group. He has the size and tools to help our hockey club now and for the future as well. We’re excited that he’s chosen the Bulldogs to help continue his development.”

In joining the Bulldogs, Bono knows he’s getting a hockey crazy community coming to Port Alberni. “I’m really excited to be given this opportunity to play with the Bulldogs. Port Alberni is an amazing hockey town and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a great organization.  I can’t wait to get started in September.”

Bono and his new teammates will hit the ice in mid-September for the Bulldogs extended training camp powered by Van Isle Ford & Pacific Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd.
