We are pleased to announce Chris Shaw as our new assistant coach for the upcoming 2008-2009 hockey season. Chris played in the BCHL from 1998 ? 2002 with four different teams, including ending his junior career with the Burnaby Bulldogs.
While playing in Burnaby under Rick Hillier, Chris was the team captain and was voted both the best defenseman and most valuable player on the team. Chris went on to play NCAA before playing professional hockey in the CHL, UHL and the ECHL. Chris was a physical defenseman that commanded respect from the opposition.
?Chris was exactly what we were looking for to compliment Bryant Perrier and the Bulldogs coaching staff. He is a young enthusiastic person who conducts himself in a professional manner, and will demand respect from the players. Chris will coach the defense next season and will be able to utilize his junior and professional playing experience to assist the Bulldogs defensive core. Bryant has extensive coaching experience with the forwards and the two coaches should offset each other in a positive manner. The Bulldogs organization is extremely excited about the upcoming season.?
