Hedquist Earns 2nd Team All-Star Status

Bulldogs goaltender Hobie Hedquist has been named a BCHL All-Star for his exploits in goal during the 2021-2022 BCHL season.  On Wednesday morning, the BCHL announced that Hobie Hedquist was named as a 2nd Team All-Star.

Hedquist in his first BCHL season turned into a work horse for the Bulldogs as he played more minuted than any other BCHL goaltender.  Hedquist finished the season with a record of 28-9 with 5 shutouts. Hedquist appeared in 42 of the Bulldogs 54 games.  He posted a 2.53 goals against average, and a .909 save % on the season.  He’s also a perfect 4-0 in the playoffs.

Hedquist is committed to play college hockey at the University of North Dakota and is ranked as the #23 goaltender in North America by Central Scouting ahead of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

The First-Team All-Stars, Second-Team All-Stars and All-Rookie Team each feature three forwards, two defencemen and one goalie. The teams were determined after a vote was conducted with all 18 team broadcasters.
