The Alberni Valley Bulldogs would like to announce that 92 D Tanner Hicks has committed for the 2010-2011 season.
Hicks, a Calgary native played the last two seasons for the Edge School Midget AAA program in Calgary. In 2009-2010 Hicks posted 24 goals and 35 assists for 59 points in 49 games and was named Best Defenceman of the League (2009-2010) – CSSHL (Canadian Sport School Hockey League).
The 5?10?, 180 pound defenceman also played 5 games last season with the Olds Grizzlies of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) as an affiliate player. Hicks played for former Olds Coach and new Alberni Valley assistant coach Kevin Hasselberg.
