Ross Named to All-Star Game

Alberni Valley Bulldogs defenceman Kevin Ross has been named to the British Columbia Hockey League All-Star team for Wednesday's game against the Vernon Vipers at the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo.

The 18-year old was named as a replacement for former Prince George Spruce Kings blueliner Wes McLeod, who was initially named to the team but was recently dealt to the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

Ross has had a breakout offensive campaign in his third full BCHL season. He currently sits second in the league in scoring amongst defencemen with six goals and 47 points in 46 games. In 155 career games, the Cranbrook native has produced 10 goals and 68 assists.

While Ross is best known for his talents on the ice, he has also been recognized for his tremendous academic accomplishments. He was named the 2009 RBC National Scholastic Player of the Year in May and has accepted a scholarship to attend Princeton University for the 2010/11 season.
