Scene Switches to Chilliwack for Game 3 of Coastal Finals

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs arrived in the Fraser Valley on Monday afternoon to get settled in ahead of Games 3 & 4 of the Coastal Conference Finals presented by Pacific Chevrolet tonight and tomorrow.

The Bulldogs lead the Best-of-7 Series 2-0 after a wild 9-5 win in the series opener, and a 2-1 win in Game 2.

The Bulldogs don’t have to look much further than their 2nd round series against Surrey to realize that the job isn’t close to being done.  The Bulldogs found themselves in the exact same 2-0 hole against the Eagles before rallying to win 4 of the next 5 games and take the series in 7 games.

Both teams settled into the series in Game 2 after a simply bonkers Game 1.  The Game 2 final of 2-1 looked every bit the part of a playoff classic with both teams getting a bounce-back performance in goal from their starters and it led to tremendous back and forth affair.  Manu Charbonneau netted the winner with just under 2:00 minutes remaining in regulation time, sending the sold-out Dawg Pound crowd into a frenzy.

The Chiefs were 15-9-1-2 at the Chilliwack Coliseum during the regular season, and are 3-2 during the post-season.  The Bulldogs are also 3-2 away from the Dawg Pound during this playoff season.

Fans can watch both road games live at the Dawg Pound on the big screen! Don’t forget that puck drop for both games is scheduled for 6pm.

If necessary, Game 5 would be back in Port Alberni on Friday evening at 7:00 pm.
