The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will be short-handed on Friday after the BCHL hit them with suspensions to three players after Saturday’s game against the Nanaimo Clippers.
Fischer O’Brien was assessed a one-game suspension after being involved in his 2nd fight of the season in the 3rd period Saturday.
Along with O’Brien, Bulldogs defenceman Mason Croucher was assessed a one game suspension after the league office updated his penalty on Saturday to a Major for Cross Checking and a game misconduct.
Both Croucher and O’Brien will be eligible to return to the line-up on Saturday night when the Bulldogs host the Coquitlam Express.
Hardest hit was the BCHL’s leading goal scorer, Hayden Stavroff. Stavroff was suspended for 3 games after his minor penalty and misconduct for an illegal Check to the Head was increased to a major penalty and a game misconduct after review.
Stavroff will be eligible to return to the Bulldogs line-up on December 9th for the Bulldogs Annual Teddy Bear Toss when the Bulldogs host the Merritt Centennials. Tickets for that game are available by CLICKING HERE.
