Veterans lead the way, 4-4 tie.

The line of Captain Ryan Steele, Cole Poliziani and Christian Simeone dominated getting in on three of the four Bulldogs goals in the 4-4 tie against the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Wednesday night.

The Capitals would open the scoring early into the first period, which was retaliated on the powerplay by Cole Poliziani assited by Christian Simeone and Mitch Oliver.

Capitals would end the period up by one goal as at 14:44 David Laroche would score on the powerplay.

During the second period the Bulldogs and Capitals would both score two goals, first two goals in the period by the Bulldogs. First at 2:02 by Christian Simeone assisted by Ryan Steele and Cole Poliziani followed by a goal by Ryan Steele assited by Christian Simeone and Connor Welsh.

The Captials would end the period up by one goal again as with 10 seconds to go Ty Pochipinksi would score unassisted.

The third period saw the lone goal by Jackson Doucet which would tie things up and send the game to overtime.

Despite getting a penalty called in the first overtime the game went two overtimes with no goals and would end in a 4-4 tie.

Colten Lancaster kicked away 35 shots while Christian Simeone would earn himself the third star of the game.

NEXT UP: The Bulldogs remain on the road this weekend when they take on the Nanaimo Clippers Saturday and Sunday against the Victoria Grizzlies.
