3 Bulldogs Named to BC Hockey Major Midget All-Star Game

On Friday, January 13th, BC Hockey will be hosting it's annual Major Midget All Star Game, showcasing the very best players from throughout the province that play in the Major Midget high performance stream. 

The game takes place at the Poirier Sports & Leisure Complex in Coquitlam, BC with puck drop at 7:00 pm. The game will be webcasted on the BCMML website with the pre-game show starting at 6:50 pm.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have three affiliate players that have been selected to the BC Hockey Major Midget all-star game.

Chase Lang, who was the Bulldogs' first round choice in the BCHL affiliate draft, is a 1996-born player currently playing for the North Island Silvertips. Lang has been improving as the season goes and currently sits 5th in league scoring with 19 goals, 21 assists for 40 points in 24 games. Chase has appeared in the league-maximum 5 BCHL games for the Bulldogs this season  and will continue to practice with the club as the season continues.

Quentin McShane is a 1994-born defenseman also for the North Island Silvertips. He is 6'2, 175lbs, and has contributed with 9 points and 29 PIMS in 22 games with North Island. Quentin is a solid, physical D-man that is on the Silvertips' second powerplay unit. Quentin was named captain of the team for his hardwork and leadership.

Mitch Crisanti is also a 1994-born forward that plays for the North West Giants.  Mitch has appeared in 4 games with the Bulldogs this season, registering 2 assists. Both assists came in his BCHL debut on October 27th in Langley against the Rivermen. Mitch currently sits tied for 6th in goals in the Major Midget League with 18 goals in 26 games. Mitch was also named an assistant captain of the North West Giants.

It's a great honour for Lang, McShane, Crisanti, and all the other players to have been recognized for their great play so far this season. The Alberni Valley Bulldogs organization would like to congratulate all the players selected to the all-star game and hope that everyone enjoys the experience.
