The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have added 2003 born defenceman Luke Rybinski for the remainder of the season.
Rybinski is a 6’4″, 195 pound defensemen is from Vancouver BC. Rybinski spent parts of two seasons with the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers, picking up 1 assist in 7 games.
Adding another defenceman to the roster was something Joe Martin felt was important prior to the BCHL’s trade deadline on January 10th. “We’re excited to brink Luke in and add to our already strong defensive core.” said Joe Martin. “He’s a big body who is difficult to play against and we thing he brings some bite to the line-up as well. We hope to have a long playoff run in front of this season and depth on the blue line is something you can’t have too much of.”
Rybinski & fellow new addition Arlo Merritt will play host to the Nanaimo Clippers at the Dawg Pound tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm.
