Blace Commits to Quinnipiac Bobcats

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that defenceman 03 defenceman Braden Blace has committed to play NCAA Div 1 hockey with the Quinnipiac Bobcats.

Blace is preparing for his 3rd season with the Bulldogs and formed a tremendous shutdown tandem with Logan Holm last season as the Bulldogs allowed the fewest goals against in the Coastal Conference.  Blace appeared in 53 games and posted 3 goals and 19 assists for 22 points. In 10 BCHL playoff games, he added a goal and 7 assists for 8 points.

Blace will be leaned on heavily again this season by the Bulldogs as they look to take another step.

Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin was thrilled for Blace that he was able to secure the next step in hockey career. “Its great news for Braden and the Blace family. Braden’s solid season last year was a big step forward has has earned him this opportunity with Quinnipiac.” While 21-22 was a good year for Blace, Martin believes there is still more to come. “I still feel like there is lots of growth in Braden’s game, we will be relying on him and looking forward to continuing his development while he remains a Bulldog.”

Blace and the Bulldogs will open training camp on September 2nd at the Multiplex.  Just a reminder to fans that this is the final week to renew their season tickets for the 22-23 season.  On August 1st, all seats not renewed will be released to the general public.
