Bulldogs Acquire Desilets and Future Considerations from Salmon Arm

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have acquired 2004 born defenceman Owen Desilets and future considerations from the Salmon Arm Silverback in exchange for Jules and Raoul Boilard.

Desilets is committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Dartmouth.

In 52 career games with Salmon Arm, the 6’0″ 170 pound defenceman has 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points. In 21 games this season, he’s registered 6 assists.

The addition of Desilets returns some experience and depth to the back end that was lost when Jeremy Fontaine was lost for the season.

Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin was excited to add Owen as another piece of the puzzle for the Bulldogs roster.
“We’re excited to add Owen to our team, he’s player that will be a great teammate and is a high character individual who wants to win.”

Desilets will travel to Vancouver and join the Bulldogs on their 3-game road trip that begins tomorrow in Coquitlam against the Express.  Bulldogs fans will get their first chance to see Desilets in action on New Year’s Eve when the Bulldogs host the Powell River Kings.  Tickets are available online by CLICKING HERE .
