The Nanaimo Clippers were full of excitement and energy coming into Saturday Nights game as it was their first Exhibition Game of the 2017-18 Season.
In the first period the Bulldogs right off the bat caught the Clippers a little rusty as they would tally first by Booker Chacalias, however that goal was followed by a Clipper goal to tie things up by Max Crozier.
From that point on the Bulldogs couldn’t get anything past the Clippers goaltenders.
The second period the Clippers were able to get ahead by one goal scored by Collins, while in the third period the Clippers scored two more unanswered goals first by Grealish followed by Brodziak to give the Nanaimo Clippers a 4-1 victory.
The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will spend a week on the ice practicing before visiting the Cowichan Valley Capitals at the Island Savings Centre on August 31st, puck drop is at 7:00PM.
