The BCHL announced on Wednesday the details for the 2022 Showcase event scheduled for October 17 to 20th in Chilliwack, BC.
The Bulldogs will face a pair of tough tests as they will take on the Vernon Vipers at 1:00 pm on Wednesday October 19th, and the reigning BCHL Champion Penticton Vees on Thursday October 20th, also at 1:00 pm.
Each BCHL team will play two games in front of NHL scouts and NCAA coaches.
“Our annual showcase is the first step of many for our athletes on their journey to receiving an NCAA Division 1 scholarship,” said BCHL Chief Operating Officer Steven Cocker. “Many relationships are built between players and coaches during the event, so this is always a very important part of our league’s schedule.”
The Showcase returns to Chilliwack, who have hosted the event since it’s inception in 2012.
The Showcase has been moved to mid-week, instead of over the weekend to give teams an extra opportunity to host prime night games on Friday and Saturday.
The Bulldogs went 1-1 during last seasons showcase as they defeated the West Kelowna Warriors, and dropped one to the Vernon Vipers.
