PORT ALBERNI, B.C- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs (25-26-2-2) will host the Nanaimo Clippers (34-17-2-2) tonight at the Dawg Pound. Game time is 7:00 pm. The game is a potential playoff preview as the Clippers have an outside chance at 1st place in the Island Division.
The Bulldogs who have been ravaged injury and illness came up with a single point on their 3 game interior swing last weekend. The Bulldogs are just 1-8-1-0 in their past 10 games but received some good news with the return of Luke Pearson in goal. The Bulldogs were without both Jackson Glassford and Luke Pearson during last weekend’s trip and have been relying on Emergency Back Up’s. The Bulldogs will finish 4th in the Island Division and will play either the Clippers or Capitals in the opening round.
The Clippers come into action 5 points behind the Cowichan Valley Capitals for the top spot in the Island Division. With just 3 games remaining for the Clippers, they have no margin for error and will need some help along the way to catch the Capitals. A Bulldogs win tonight, and the Clippers will finish 2nd. Nanaimo is 7-3-0 in their past 10 games.
Season Membership renewals for the 2020-2021 BCHL season are underway. Any fan who purchases a new package or renews their existing seats before March 27th will automatically be entered into a draw for a trip for two to Las Vegas to see a Golden Knights game! Prize package includes flights, accommodations and tickets to the game.
Playoff tickets are also on sale now. Current season members have until THIS SUNDAY to purchase their seats for home games 1 & 2. Tickets are just $16.00 for adults and $10.00 for Youth (18 & Under)
Doors open for tonight’s game at 6:00 pm and puck drop is set for 7:00 pm.
