The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have dedicated the month of October to raise awareness in the fight against Cancer. In an effort to raise funds for cancer research, the Bulldogs will once again don the Pink Jerseys in a game played at the Multiplex October 30, 2010 when the Cowichan Valley Capitals pay visit for a 7:00 PM start.
Throughout the city of Port Alberni in local businesses all fans will have the opportunity to enter and win one of your favorite Bulldogs game warn Pink jerseys. Jersey are on display at the sponsor?s place of business for the remainder of the month of October and a ballot box will be located next to the jersey. For a minimum donation of $2.00 people can come and enter at any of these locations to have a chance to win one of the pink jerseys in support of Cancer Research. You must be in attendance to win and you can only win one jersey.
All names and addresses of the sponsors will be listed on the Alberni Valley Bulldogs website and in the program insert so all fans wanting the opportunity to win a jersey know where the jerseys are located. At the conclusion of the October 30th game, all spon sors will be asked to come out on the ice for photos with the Bulldog Player, and the jersey winner. Additionally, a group photo with the Bulldogs Hockey Team will wrap up this worthy cause.
Prior to the game there will be a cheque presentation to the cancer society, money will be in the amount collected from all the ballot boxes.
