Port Alberni, BC – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to name Mitch Makin captain of the 2014/15 squad.
Makin, from Blairmore, Alberta, is entering his third season with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs after having been acquired from the Olds Grizzlys in November 2012 for 1994-born defenseman Marc Eremenko.
Makin finished the 2013/14 season 6th in team scoring with 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 57 regular season games and added 6 points in 7 playoff games.
“It’s an honour to be named captain of the Bulldogs,” said Mitch Makin. “I am excited to get the year started and have a successful season.”
“Mitch has certainly showed his leadership skills over the last two season,” said Head Coach and General Manager Kevin Willison. “The coaching staff feels that he is the player to lead us into his 20-year-old season because he has shown in the past that he’s a fierce competitor and has the qualities and character that we look for and that the Alberni Valley can be proud of.”
