Bulldogs Partner with West Coast General Hospital for “Alberni Born” Campaign

The BCHL’s Alberni Valley Bulldogs have partnered with West Coast General Hospital in the creation of a new program called “Alberni Born.”

Each newborn baby will receive an “Alberni Born” onesie when they’re welcomed into the world along with game vouchers the families can use to take in a Bulldogs home game when they’re ready to cheer along with their newest addition.

“The program is an exciting initiative in the community for our club,” said President David Michaud. “In the hockey world, we’re always discussing ways to reach younger families and get them excited about supporting our athletes and our community. I can’t think of a better way to welcome new fans to our community and hopefully show them we’re something to get behind. Once fans take in a BCHL game at the Dawg Pound, they fall in love with it!”

“This is a lovely way to be able to welcome a baby into our local hospital and community,” said Pam Rardon, Site Director at West Coast General Hospital. “You carry your place of birth with you for your lifetime. Port Alberni is a great place to call home and the Bulldogs are our home team!”

The Bulldogs are back in action on tomorrow evening when they host the Victoria Grizzlies at 7:00 pm.
