The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of 2006 born, forward Malte Barthold for the 2026-27 season.
According to Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin, “Malte is a two way forward who can play either wing. He had a good year offensively, coupled with some opportunity to play and practice with the Pro German leagues.”
Last season the Bischofswerda, Germany native played 40 games for the DNL U-20 top-tier elite junior league in Germany and was second in scoring on the squad, putting up an impressive 52 points in 42 games, including a team leading 26 goals.
The 6’2, 161 lb winger, also suited up for 7 games with the KSW Ice Fighters Leipzip in the Germany 4 League last season, adding an assist.
