The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce the naming of Caden Tremblay as team Captain for the 2025-2026 season.
Committed to the NCAA Division I program at the University of Alaska Anchorage, the Port Alberni native and Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association alumnus has played 190 regular season and playoff games in a Bulldog sweater over the past four seasons and has scored 11 times while adding 43 assists good for 54 points.
Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin commented: “Caden has been a leader since he became a Bulldog, and to the people who know him well he most likely has shown those characteristics his whole life.
Early on with us and still to this day he’s shown his commitment to himself, his teammates, his family – the list can go on and on. Something that we truly appreciate about him is that he always has respect and time for everyone”
Martin continued:
“Im excited for him to be our Captain. The role of showing others how to be a Bulldog especially early on, is going to fall on Caden’s shoulders. He’s been through it all with us – being a young rookie, being injured, being an BCHL All Star, and playing through the playoffs all the way to the league final.
I speak for the whole organization here, – we are lucky to have him, and so is this town.”
Tremblay commented: “I’m really excited and honoured to be named as the captain of the Bulldogs. I grew up coming to games and watching the team and always dreamed of playing for them. To now have the opportunity to be the captain is a honour and something that is very special for me. I would like to thank the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to lead this team and push for a championship for the best fans in the BCHL.”
Graduating Bulldog Captain Zeke Nicholson commented: “Congratulations to Caden. He was a great teammate, and was honest, hard working and a fierce competitor. I think he’ll be a great Captain, and will lead this team well”
