The Alberni Valley Bulldogs would like to congratulate former Bulldog David Dziurzynski on capturing the Calder Cup Championship with the Binghamton Senators of the AHL. The Calder Cup is awarded to the winner of the American Hockey League (AHL) playoffs.
Dziurzynski, played the 2009-2010 season with the Bulldogs posting 21 goals and 53 assists. After completing the 2009-2010 season, Dziurzynski signed a three year- two way contract with the Ottawa Senators and their affiliate AHL team the Binghamton Senators.
In 75 games this season, Dziurzynski tallied 6 goals,
14 assists for 20 points with Binghamton. Dziurzynski also added 3 assists in 14 playoff games.
“The Bulldogs organization would like to personally congratulate David for his achievements this season, “states Head Coach/Assistant Director of Hockey Operations Paul Esdale. “ David’s journey is a remarkable story; he came from Lloydminster to play out his junior career in Alberni and little did he know that this would change his life.
