The Alberni Valley Bulldogs would like to announce that 93 D Zach Todd has committed for the 2011-2012 season.
The Holden Massachussets, native played for the Northwood Prep School last season where he posted 7 goals,19 assists for 26 points in 35 games. The 5’10” 175 pound defenseman will bring an all around game to Port Alberni.
“Zach comes from a great program at Northwood Prep School. Zach is a smooth skating, puck moving defenseman that will help us at both ends of the rink, “ comments Head Coach/Assistant Director of Hockey Operations Paul Esdale. “Zach adds depth to our blueline and will be looked upon to contribute immediately,” adds Esdale.
Located in Lake Placid, New York, Northwood Prep has a long standing tradition of strong hockey alumni, boasting fourteen that have played in the National Hockey League. Also, Northwood has graduated several players that have gone on to become Olympians: Tom Mellor'68, Tony Granato '83, David Tretowicz '87, Jim Campbell '91, Chris Therien '90, Mike Richter '85, Andrea Kilbourne-hill '98, and Craig Conroy '90.
