Tverberg Invited to World Jr Selection Camp

Former Alberni Valley Bulldogs forward Ryan Tverberg has been named to Canada’s World Juniors Selection Camp Roster.

Tverberg was acquired by the Bulldogs last October from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens of the OJHL.  When the BCHL season was paused, Tverberg left the Bulldogs to join the University of Connecticut Huskies where he had 7 points in 14 games.

This season, Tverberg has shot out of the gate with impressive numbers.  The 7th round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs has notched 9 goals and 7 assists for 16 points in just 14 games.

“We’re excited for Ryan to have this opportunity to shine on the national stage.” said Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin. “He wasn’t here for long, but he was an exciting player that I’m glad we had the chance to work with, I know our fans would have loved watching him play.”

Fans of course were not allowed in the Multiplex during last seasons extended exhibition play, or the BCHL Pod Season in the spring.

Tverberg becomes the 1st ever Bulldogs Alumni to suit up for a World Juniors Selection Camp.

Best of luck Ryan!
