Bulldogs Host Caps in Rare Day / Night Double Header

It’s a term more commonly associated with Major League Baseball, however the Bulldogs and Cowichan Valley Capitals are pulling off a rare BCHL day / night double header at the Alberni Valley Multiplex today at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.  The clubs will be dressing split-squad rosters for the games.

Familiar faces will be hard to come by in the line-ups for the Bulldogs, but it’s an opportunity for the next generation of Bulldogs to pull on the sweater and hopefully make a lasting impression on head coach and general manager Joe Martin and his staff.

The 2:00 pm game will feature several Port Alberni Bombers Jr B players including Port Alberni native Brett MacLean, while the 7pm game will feature locals Blake Power, Aidan See and Carson Steel.  Steel was tremendous in the opening scrimmage on Friday night as he notched a pair of goals.  Bombers forward Aidan See is making his way back to game after spending some time with the WHL’s Everett Silvertips.

Tickets for the day are just $10 for adults, and one ticket gets you into both games.  Thanks to the continued support of the San Group, all local youth 18 & under are no charge when accompanied by an adult. The Box Office is open at noon and 5pm for the two games.
