The Alberni Valley Bulldogs defeated the Cowichan Valley Capitals 4-1 on Saturday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex in front of 1125 fans.
The win snapped a 3 game losing streak for the Bulldogs and improved their record to 2-3-0-0 on the young season.
Zeke Nicholson (1), Jeremy Fontaine (1), Jax Wismer (2) and Matthew Maltais (1) all scored for the Bulldogs in the victory. Wismer also added an assist on the Nicholson goal for a multi-point night.
Callum Tung was excellent in goal for the Bulldogs as he stopped 18 of 19 shots faced to record his 1st BCHL win.
The Bulldogs also received a great effort from the special teams as the power play went 1 for 3 and the penalty kill was a perfect 3 for 3.
