WENATCHEE, WASH. – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs kicked off their weekend road trip on a winning note, defeating the Wenatchee Wild 5-2 on Friday night at the Town Toyota Center.

The Bulldogs would strike twice in the opening period, first at the 5:53 mark when Caige Sterzer muscled his way in the Wild zone and scored a highlight reel goal for his 5th of the season.

Isaac Pascoal would put the Bulldogs up 2-0 with his 5th of the season with under a minute to play in the period.

The Bulldogs would get two goals in the middle frame to go up 4-0. Both goals came off the stick of Captain Mitch Deelstra his team leading 17th and 18th markers of the season.

The Bulldogs would add to their lead early in the third, just three minutes in when Jackson Munro sniped his 4th of season short-handed to put the Bulldogs up 5-0.

The Wild would add a pair of goals in the final period but their comeback would fall short. The win is the third straight for the Bulldogs on the road who are now 18-14-0-2 on the season.
