Clippers Knock Off Bulldogs in OT

The Nanaimo Clippers got a pair of goals from Thomas Maia, including the OT winner at 2:38 of the extra session as the Clippers defeated the Bulldogs 3-2 on Wednesday night at the Multiplex.

The Bulldogs got goals from Ethan Bono (3rd) and Chase Klassen (7th), while Adam Jeffrey picked up a pair of assists in the Bulldogs loss.

Luke Pearson suffered the loss as he stopped 37 of the 40 Clippers shots, while Jordan Naylor picked up the win stopping 33 of 35 shots the Bulldogs sent his way.

Bulldogs were 2 for 3 with the man-advantage, while the Clippers were 1 for 5.

The OT loss drops the Bulldogs pod record to 7-2-3-1, good for 18 points.  They now find themselves 4 points behind the Grizzlies for top spot in the Island Division standings. The Bulldogs do hold a gam in hand over the Grizzlies.  The Clippers improve to 6-7-0-0.

The victory for the Clippers was their 1st in the head-to-head meetings between the two clubs.
